Orientation program for Arts and Science students was conducted on 27-08-2022 in Murali Krishna hall, CIR block. Around 200 students from B.A English, Bsc Food Science, Msc integrated Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Data Science attended the program actively. In presidential address, Prof C. Parameshwaran, Principal Director, CIR emphasized on demand in the industry for Arts and Science students. He also mentioned that opportunities for placements, unlike before are increasing for Arts and Science students in addition to that of B.Tech and M.Tech students.

Amrita Annual Public Speaking Contest 2020

With the noble intention of reviving the art of public speaking and helping students cope with the increasing competition in the corporate world, a team of Verbal & Communication Skills trainers of the Learning & Development Wing of Corporate and Industry Relations (CIR), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, organize a public speaking contest for third-year B.Tech. students every year. The Amrita Annual Public Speaking Contest 2020 sponsored by Byju’s - The Learning App, was held on 2nd March between 9.30 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Amriteswari Hall.

Amrita Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE) organized a two-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Entrepreneurship at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai from 9th – 21st December, 2019. The programme, sponsored by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), GoI and EDI India, Ahmedabad.

ACE conducted a free, non-residential, 1-month Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) sponsored by National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, and supported by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad. 26 participants attended the programme from 30th October, 2019 to 27th November, 2019; including a couple of Amrita alumni.
